I am a registered research psychologist and public health scientist with special interests in behavioural epidemiology, public health policy, social and commercial determinants of health and mental health.

My research investigates patterns, risk influences, and impacts of tobacco use across populations, with a focus on Africa and low to middle income countries.

I explore preventive and cessation strategies to reduce tobacco use initiation while encouraging and supporting cessation interventions.

I explore psychiatric stigma and social and cultural determinants of mental health especially in low-resource settings.
