I am a registered research psychologist and public health scientist with special interests in behavioural epidemiology, public health policy, social and commercial determinants of health and mental health.

Tobacco Control Policy Research

I lead and contribute to studies that inform evidence-based policies in tobacco control and endgame in Africa and globally.

Epidemiology of Tobacco Use

My research investigates patterns, risk influences, and impacts of tobacco use across populations, with a focus on Africa and low to middle income countries.

Tobacco Prevention And Cessation

I explore preventive and cessation strategies to reduce tobacco use initiation while encouraging and supporting cessation interventions.

Mental Health Research

I explore psychiatric stigma and social and cultural determinants of mental health especially in low-resource settings.

Training and Mentorship

I am passionate about building the next generation of African researchers and public health advocates through guidance and capacity development.
