About Me — Dr. Catherine O. Egbe
I am Dr. Catherine O. Egbe, a registered Research Psychologist and Public Health Scientist, with interests in tobacco control, substance use and mental health research. I currently hold the position of Senior Specialist Scientist at the Mental Health, Alcohol, Substance Use & Tobacco Research Unit of the South African Medical Research Council. I also serve as Honorary Associate Professor in the Schools of Public Health Medicine, University of KwaZulu-Natal, and University of Cape Town.

I focus on the broad spectrum of tobacco control research and advocacy including policy, epidemiology, prevention, cessation, endgame, industry monitoring, emerging and re-emerging products and the commercial determinants of health as well as mental health research
